CONTEXT: PART II

 

In "white ball" the love of our characters bloom but in the conditions in which blooms, is worrying they both fall in love while fantasizing about space..

(Drift aloft.. In some effortless place.. bound by a delicate dread, saving no face..)

On any other album, this is something romantic about a couple falling in love under the stars. But we know that mentioning space at the same time you mention the death, this couple tell us how much they want to float in space, it means how they want to die together, Simon and Stella refers to the moon like a marble god next to the stars, wich are representations of dead souls.

(marble gods, tango circle in space.. 'round the already dead.. hung by a staircase.. up.)

Basically this confirm the idea that space is related to death, this is a couple that is attracted to death, attraction that will condemn them.

MURDERS.

In this song Simon kills Stella in a forest, Simon chased Stella through a forest, he murdered her in a place where no one would find her body, in the song the legend "Erl King" is mentioned, a legend which is the representation of death, Simon in the song expresses to us how he saw with his own eyes..

(he was in the forest looking to see the trees.. but none were there.. he found a girl, she found the Erlking)...

The girl met the Erlking, Stella met the death, they confess to us that all this time it was Simon, his mind tricks him and when he returned to reality, he saw the body of Stella and said..

(all.. for nothing at all... all... for nothing at all..)

The songs ends by revealing that Simon finds out that he was the Erlking all this time.

with this we can theorize that Simon is crazy and has two personalities because the trauma of this whole situation, he tells us this event in third person, cuz he is trying not to blame himself for what happened. 

MINI - CONTEXT:
(In the next song they reveal to us that our protagonists were 15 years old, they tell us how after death we become stars and go to space, after a certain time we will fall to earth and we will have to live our lives again, this explains what happened with Simon at the beginning of the album)

THE MIND ELECTRIC

Stella is dead, Simon is crazy and is about to be put on trial, the only thing a child can do in a situation like this is explain himself. (Simon explains himself to the jury)

* judge -

(resident minor, how do you plead?.. we'll need your testimony on the stand.. solemnly swear to tell the whole truth so help you son, now raise your right hand..)

* simon-

(father your honor, may i explain?.. my brain has claimed its glory over me, i've a good heart albeit insane..)

* judge-

(condemn him to the infirmary...)

The verdict regarding this confession was to send him to the psychiatric hospital, we have discovered most of the secrets of this album, we just have to see how it ends...

Our protagonist is put into shock therapy, is this why the song is called "The mind electric", they destroyed the littlee sanity he had left, the first time his mind played a trick on him was in the forest while he was chasing Stella, nos his brain plays another joke on him, blaming him for everything that happened

(see how the serfs work the ground.. and they give it all they've got.. and they give it all they've got.. and you give it all you've got 'til you're down..)

Then his brain continues to mock him, telling him..

(see how the brain plays around.. and you fall inside a hole you couldn't see..)

This was too much for Simon, the world was agaisnt him and that was too much for him.. that's why he say this in the last seconds of the song...

(and you fall inside a hole and sa- someone help me, understand what's going on inside my mind.. doctor i can't tell if i'm not me.)

LABYRINTH

In "Labyrinth" is Simon surviving the games that his mind plays on him, he is and labyrint because he only hears his dead girlfriend, searching through his mind to fin her, at the same time hearing the voice who killed his girlfriend.

We move on to something strange, but Simon decides to leave the maze with a time machine, here comes "Time machine" where Simon comes to the conclusion where he can use his mind to return to the moments where he was with Stela..

(past is passed and rather than regret the old.. I can live it back the other way.. live the dream with a time machine.. you've been waiting forever, but you can make ever wait for you.. do what you want to do.. live the dream with a time machine, you've been waiting forever.. you'll have time enough to spend some time alone..) 

Simon returns to the past metaphorically to see Stella in his dreams, this gives him peace, when he finally tames his mind he looks at this memories like a great sea where before he drowned, but now he floats in those memories, now we move on the last song where Simon is alive.

STRANDRED LULLABY

Simon is at peace, he reflects on the life he had, he ask the Stella who lives in his mind..

(i'd like to know why you.. are all alone while i'm.. lost at sea..)

Simon spends days, weeks and months in this reflection, wondering what will happen when he die, so he ask Stella one last question..

(you're unsure if i am.. a loose end or a strand.. that waits for you to mend or understand..)

These were Simon's last words, he wants to know if it was just an experience or if she expected something more from him, Simon finally dies and he returns to the same space where the album began.

DREAM SWEET IN SEA MAJOR

Simon returns to the edge of the universe singing a song, but this time he doesn't want to return to earth, he wants to look for Stella because he knows she is there, Simon swims among the sea of stars and when they both meet again, they decide not to be reborn and fly further to the moon and evolution.

some lyrics was in french, so i translate them.

(a set of children, the galaxy is expanding, garden of imagination.. filling the gap.. fly facing the moon... see how we evolve.. it feels like flying.. but maybe.. we're dying.. a cosmic confluence of hologram pyramids..)

Simon didn't want to be reborn because he preferred to live his death with his girlfriend. Now the couple has finished their album, they can do whatever they want in heaven, they have dates in heaven, and that's the first thing they do!

(you look quite divine tonight.. here among these vibrant lights.. pure delights surround us as we sail, signed, yours truly, the whale..) 

(the part is wholly ending.. a line in any final song.. so long, so far.. we will be atoning at last eternal throught the past.. above a blinding star..)

Our characters say goodbye to the show, Simon recognizes the tragedy he experienced and i recognize that was a happy ending :)

(bye.. hi... sigh, hawai... we never meant to part.. sublime, your art one light.. higher than the sun.. invisible to some until it's time...)
